Kaneki sees an illusion of Rize to cope with the abuse and suffering that Yamori has caused him. She begins to question him about things, recalling his past of his mother's teachings, and what he's had to go through in his life. Rize disappears and Yamori walks into the room, wanting to try something new. He removes the blind fold, only for Kaneki to see Yamori holding Kei and Kouto, making him choose who he should kill.
