Window Tints made their first appearance in Need for Speed: Underground, where they function as visual upgrades that can be used to increase a vehicle's star rating. In Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and other titles with the Pursuit game mode, Window Tints will decrease the heat level of a vehicle.
