The dress is from 1946 and has low armholes set in at almost a square at the underarm. The sleeves are 3/4 with cuffs or long and close to the wrist. The skirt has gathers above the top-stitched pockets and the front is a shirtwaist style with bow at the neck or a hidden placket with top-stitched details. This would be very fun with color blocking like was so popular in the 1940s
