Batman is realizing how much harder it is to come upon reliable information now that Oracle is no longer working with him. But he does still have some allies left. Nightwing is in town, and helps him track down a dangerous shipment of unusual cargo. They find a shipment of super-villain weaponry and briefly encounter the Red Hood, noting that his methods seem strangely familiar. When the Red Hood gives them the slip, they soon come across the prize item from the shipment, the Amazo android.
