We have elected officials who are to watch the finances of the city, county and state. We have an elected controller in the city, another in Allegheny County, and a third state controller. The Controller's Office Accounting Departments should be friends of the citizens and taxpayers. The Controllers are to work in cooperation with other City Departments and outside auditors.
