The Confederate Science Corps was a scientific branch of the Confederacy. It was known to have done significant studies on the wave-band anomalies found in Mar Sara's Perdition's Crossing. Many of the scientists they sent would be preyed upon by slavers, making progress on studying the crossing slow.
