The earliest known reference is in The Sesame Street Treasury, in which it is identified as the home of Betty Lou (in Volume 5) and Herry Monster (in Volume 9). 456 Sesame Street later appeared on the show, as a brownstone building, when Sesame Street went Around the Corner in Season 25. The building housed the Day Care Center, which was operated by Angela, who lived in the building with her husband Jamal and their daughter Kayla. In Trick or Treat on Sesame Street, the address number is applied to Count von Count's castle.
