UCW was formed by UWA Wrestler Flare in 2002 alongside Southern Wrestling promoter Reginald P.Packer. Packer was later replaced as head booker by one BF Goodrich who turned the company into a national promotion before departing. Under Packer UCW slumped once more which resorted in Goodrich being brought back in late 2002 – and once again turned the fortune of the company around. UCW in this period merged with Next Generation Wrestling and Main Event Wrestling.
