The Empire of Blood is a stable currently active in Global Extreme Wrestling, Phoenix Wrestling Enterprise and the Championship Wrestling Council. It was founded in GEW by Sah'ta Thor in early 2008, initially consisting of Thor and Troy Gafgen, who feuded with The Damned (Glenn Legend, Rhys Matterson and Bailey Callahan) over the GEW Extreme Chaos Championship and the GEW Tag Team Championship. Thor and Gafgen were soon joined by Velvet Grey and James Magnum, although the latter would later leave when he began feuding with Kameron Chase, while Gafgen would turn on Thor during a tag team championship match against Legend and Matterson.
