The First Youth had an afternoon booze-up at Flat 3, 44 Rosamund Street with Jason Stubbs and two other lads in February 1989, despite all of them being well under the legal drinking age. The session ended when Ken Barlow knocked on the door, calling to offer Jason a paper round with the Weatherfield Recorder. Leaving Jason in the trashed flat, the louts ran off, the ginger-haired first youth letting out an "'ello mate" to Ken as he dashed past. The three youths were later caught vandalising a car by the police.
