TYFU was an experimental alliance, as this was the first phase that a tier system was implemented. Alliances that allowed casual players to participate were to be handicapped by requiring additional materials and send times. just the same as alliances with the same number of very active participants. In response to this, TYFU was formed, consisting of members, past and present, from Hear Me Roar, The Sand Snakes, Kong's Landing, and mercenaries throughout Westeros. Starting with about 30 members, and ending with about 50, TYFU was the first alliance to prove that a small alliance can win a region in AvA without farming.
