Jim Compton was a member of the Seattle City Council. In December of 2005, Compton announced that he was leaving his seat. The Council will appoint a replacement, who will be reelected in November of 2006 and again in November of 2007. Potential names to replace Compton: Filed - meaning they have turned in a resume.
