The San Antonio Stars are a professional basketball team in San Antonio, Texas. The franchise began in 2000 as the Utah Starzz before relocating to San Antonio in 2003 after no new ownership was found in Utah. After 13 seasons, the franchise renamed itself to simply the "Stars".
