[Source] Nourishing Vita-Caps were a nutritional supplement available in the galaxy sometime after the Battle of Yavin during the Galactic Civil War, a series of conflicts between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic. They were meant to be used as a quick, nourishing "meal" that would satisfy a sentient's energy needs while being portable and quickly consumable.
