Tel El Esdi is an inland city of the fictional nation of Khemed. It first featured in Land of Black Gold. It appears to be a small rural town but detailed information regarding the town is unrevealed. It gains only a brief mention/appearance where Thompson and Thomson approach the town but they found it was only a mirage. 'Tel' is a common part in the names of Middle Eastern cities, and 'LSD' (El Esdi) is used specifically to imply that the city was only seen in a mirage (i.e. hallucination).
