Verene, who is from Blue Harbor, begins her training as a member of the Provost's Guard of Corus the same year as Rebakah Cooper. She has her first day on duty as a Trainee Guard on April 1, 246 HE. Verene dies a month later, on April 30, 246 HE while doing her duty. She and her training partners were attacked by two Barzun sailors and three of Flash District's criminals. She is being buried after Rollo on the first of May in 246 HE Her training partners were Otelia and Rollo. Verene only appears in Terrier and dies in the middle of the novel.
