This technique utilizes a basic function for a highly practical application of the Wind Release. By concentrating chakra through a bird hand seal, the user wraps a small, rotating column of wind near their feet; this replicates a cyclone. This replication of a cyclone enables the user to float in the air, and even maneuver around after some practice. Highly skillful practitioners of the technique are able to remove the presence of this wind almost unconsciously, leaving many to believe that they are using the Flight Technique. The technique's radius may be expanded to accommodate for more than a single person, however this is generally for a soft landing, due to the amount of strain and control it takes to expand this column of wind.
