Around Hallowe'en 2011, the Everplain Acres Zone began to be plagued by ghosts from the nearby Crystal Mines. Whilst Charles and many of the townsfolk were left terrified by this invasion, Charles' granny remained steadfast, stating that, in "her day", ghosts were quite different. Thanks to her forward nature, she considered Charles to be a coward and unfit to live up to the name of her husband, Charles' grandfather.
