In an alternate Universe, a race across america is held and the Mysterious Gyro Zeppeli joins as a contestant with his mysterious steel ball as his main weapon. the Parapalegic Johnny Joestar joins up in pursuit of Gyro hoping that him and his steel ball can teach him to walk again. The race begins, but Gyro isn't what he appears to be. Note: Pretty much a reboot of the series, but with stands. Characters in Steel Ball run have counterparts to those from the earlier parts in the series, but may differ greatly in appearance and personality.
