Blackoaks were trees found in the Deepwoods. They differed in colour but were similar to Redoaks and Silveroaks that also grew in the Deepwoods. Rufus Filatine had remember a group of blackoaks to find his way back from the Battle of the Phrax Glade to the Free Glades in The Lost Barkscrolls.
