Pieter was the Chieftain of a village of Ming Po on the planet Carlac, and an elder who believed that the Death Watch was subjugating his people. He confronted Pre Vizsla to leave and return his people, and while Vizsla pretended to agree, he had other plans. He returned to burn the Ming Po town and tried to kill Pieter with his Darksaber, but instead killed his granddaughter, Tryla, when she sacrificed herself.
