The Echani Protectors formed during the Great Sith War out of the tradition of naming their greatest warrior the High Protector. As the Galaxy was in a state of chaos and the Echani people themselves at risk, Echani Command formed the elite fighting force as a way to bolster their people's spirits and formulate a defense.
