Bastyr University is one of the handful of accredited naturopathic medical schools in the United States. It is probably the largest in North America, though the oldest is in Portland, Oregon (National College of Naturopathic Medicine). The school has grown from a few rented rooms at Seattle Central Community College to a complete campus (located in Kenmore technically, at the site of the former St. Thomas seminary).
