Paul Maxwell is an actor who played Ed Hathersage between June and July 1979. Before Emmerdale Farm, he was famous for being Elsie Tanner's husband Steve in Coronation Street, as well as appearing in Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons and Fireball XL5. After 1979, he then went on to appear in blockbusters such as Aliens and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
