Foxtrot XIII was one of a series of the Federation's Foxtrot Outposts in Foxtrot Sector, meant to monitor the border on the Federation-Romulan Neutral Zone. This outpost was a lifeless asteroid five hundred kilometers in diameter that served as a border post for the Federation against the Romulan Star Empire. Standard crew size for Foxtrot XIII was two hundred and seventy-one people. This was only one of a series of such Foxtrot Outposts in Foxtrot Sector meant to monitor the border.
