Orlin Kotyc grew up on the planet Ordo, where he learned of the Mandalorian ways from his father. He became a formidable warrior at thirteen years of age, and continued to serve his aliit with vigor. When Mandalore Cadden Blackthorne attacked Ordo, Orlin participated in defending the world from the Protectors' forces. However, he quickly changed sides when he noted Blackthorne's strength and powress in battle, and his sheer commitment to reuniting the clans.
