Turi was born on a ship to the leader of a band of mercenaries who acted like pirates but also helped local law enforcement. The Unification War had proven to be profitable as he was hired by the Order of Sovereignty and the Confederacy to smuggle various weapons and information from behind enemy lines. After the war, his father was performing a routine job over the Nymean planet of Taiphath and suddenly he was shot down by pirates working for the Hutts and drifted into range of the planet. The ship crashed near a temple that was under construction at the time. He was found by the Jedi on planet at the time and realized that he was Force sensitive.
