Satori summons hundreds of cicadas to his location and has them call out in unison. Their collective sound is enough to disorient opponents, even at a distance. If the sounds mix just right, the enemy may even see hallucinations, and get caught in a genjutsu. Since there are so many cicadas, the sound will not go away by killing a few. Having spent much time with cicadas and other insects, Satori is able to tune out most of the chorus to prevent himself from being affected.
