The USS Enterprise NCC-1701, under the command of Captain James T. Kirk, visited the planet Delta Omicron III. Captain Kirk beamed down to the planet and was captured by Romulan agents. Spock devised a plan to rescue Captain Kirk. He put that plan into effect and Kirk was freed. 1 Federation security officer from the Enterprise and 10 Romulans were killed in the rescue. Kirk and Spock then beamed back to the Enterprise and the USS Enterprise then left Delta Omicron III and warped to Beta Gamma VI.
