Peter Straub is an American horror novelist. His works have been highly regarded, winning several Bram Stoker Awards, a World Fantasy Award, and an International Horror Guild Award. Several of his novels contain the theme of doppelgängers including Mr. X and his collaborations with Stephen King. He has collaborated with King to write two novels, The Talisman and its sequel, Black House. It is rumored that a third collaboration with King is in the works, a novel to complete the Jack Sawyer trilogy.
