Charlie Cotton was a recurring character in [EastEnders from Episode 110 (6th March 1986) to Episode 565 (5th July 1990), appearing in 57 episodes. He was the roguish father of even more roguish Nick and the first husband of long suffering Dot. He secretly married Dot's half sister Rose in 1963 and with whom had a son Andrew Cotton, who was Nick's half brother. Charlie was played by Christopher Hancock.
