Dara was a female juvenile character in a mythology book that the teacher read to Timothy and the other children in the USS Enterprise-D classroom. She and her brother found themselves in the land of Tagas. Dara laughed at the proclamation of Elamos the Magnificent that by law "No children will be tolerated within the Great Kingdom" because she felt Elamos was frightened by them.
