The QIj'tagh class was a type of heavy escort fielded by the Klingon Empire during the 24th century. (Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 3: Ships of the Klingon Empire) The QIj'tagh consisted of a main hull that expanded dorsally, which gave it a two-tiered appearance when viewed from the side. On the upper dorsal area of the main hull was a axehead-shaped section that contained the bridge module. The ship's wing pylons curve forward and downwards, with the ship's warp nacelles attached to the ventral side of the pylons where the wing meets the main hull.
