Metropolitan Borough of the County of London 1900-65. It compromised the parish of Shoreditch (St Leonards) and part of the Liberty of Norton Folgate. The Town Hall, originally the Vestry Hall was in Old Street; there was also a Magistrates Court; the Coroner's Court was in Boundary Street. It was incorporated into the London Borough of Hackney.
