Clovis assisted Childeric in his plot to usurp the throne of Pepin VII. Childeric ordered him to execute Eugene and the Sixth Doctor. He told the Doctor he was unhappy with the situation, he had hoped for a traditional small rebellion ending in defeat and his own execution. Childeric halted him before he carried out the killings, informing him of a change in plans. He was killed by a living torture device in the form of Eugene Tacitus' son. (AUDIO: The Holy Terror)
