The Royal Library of Alexandria was a major repository of learning in ancient times, located in the city of Alexandria in Egypt. Eventually the library's contents were lost to history. Indiana Jones and Sallah went searching for the Library in 1934. What they found was a tomb that still contained remnants of a library. Fragments made reference to Atlantis, El Dorado and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
