The Lamplighter has been around protecting Boston since the days of the American Revolution. He's arrogant, brutal and humorless. He not only doesn't play well with the police, he doesn't play with them at all. That said, the Lamp makes him the single most powerful superhero in Boston, although he's technically classed as a vigilante. Nobody knows where the Lamp comes from. In other words, he's a baseline with a gimmick.
