Colonel Kristi Johansen is a field-grade officer of the UNSC Air Force Special Warfare Command and an affiliate of the Office of Naval Intelligence Section Three Covert Operations Group. She was the commanding officer of SPECWARCOM Group Five - a unit she had personal experience with from her time as a combat controller - and the immediate superior of Bonnie-A261, a SPARTAN-III Commando and LEONIDAS Operative. Combined with a position of considerable power within Section Three, she was a quite powerful and important individual in the UNSC.
