The movement was established by the Jedi Knight, Revan, in 3,929 BrS, when he entered the Mandalorian Wars with many of the Jedi Order's youngest members, who also believed in Revan's cause, defying the Jedi Council's mandate of non-Jedi involvement in the conflict. Three years later, Darth Malak was defeated by Revan, who had redeemed himself, and Malak's Sith Empire was mortally splintered at Rakata Prime.
