Riley is the childhood friend of Kiryu, and pokemon researcher. Both his parents are pokemon scientist who works at professor Cottonwood's lab. He and Kiryu are almost exact opposites. Kiryu has an Umbreon and Riley as an espeon, they were born 6 months apart and Kiryu has black hair while Riley has white hair. He travels with Kiryu and a few others to study more about the fusion'mons and the generations of pokemon. He rarely battles but does with Kiryu and his friends to sharpen up his skills.
