The Temple of the Sun on Kaigen's Island was built where the first rays of the rising sun would touch it. It was not located in the Holy Quarter like most of the cities other temples or shrines for this reason. The netural name of the temple, not dedicating it to a previous or current sun, was due to its mistress Moshi Kishiko. Kishiko attempted to keep her congregation from fighting about the naming for either Amaterasu or the Jade Dragon.
