The C.D. ROM Ram was activated by Crocbot to defeat the Downunda Freedom Fighters, who were a threat to his plan to take over Downunda and overthrow Robotnik. Although the Ram kept the Freedom Fighters busy for a while, even butting Barby Koala so hard that she was sent flying all the way to the Great Crater, it was destroyed by one of Walt Wallabee's Bomberangs.
