Gary Damer (born 1987 in Manchester) started his acting career at the age of eight in the role of Earnest Moorhouse in the highly-successful Salford based film East Is East before appearing in Coronation Street as Wayne Hayes between 2000 and 2001. His other credits include roles in City Central, Mersey Beat, The League of Gentlemen, Dead Man Weds, Magnificent 7, Hotel Trubble and Fresh Meat
