Roman Vlacic was a Ukrainian national, and the brother of Petro and Sofiya. Roman was deep in debt to Mishka, a local boss in the Russian mob, and was unable to come up with the money by the agreed-upon deadline. Mishka ordered his men Alik and Sasho to abduct Roman in the middle of the night. Roman begged for more time, insisting that he had been about to come see Mishka when he was grabbed, but after he confessed he was still unable to pay up, Mishka shot him repeatedly, killing him. Roman's obligation was passed on to his brother, Petro, to honor. (Underground #1)
