Peter Wheeler was a voice artist who worked extensively for Granada Television from the 1970s onwards. He remains best known for his vocal role as the Court Reporter in the long-running daytime series Crown Court for twenty-two years from 1972 onwards but he was also heard in Emmerdale, The Wind in the Willows, Dramarama. Outside of acting roles he was heard in many editions of What the Papers Say (along with Daphne Oxenford) although he appeared on-screen in Call My Bluff and The Villains.
