The Order of the Hieromancers was founded by Yalaini Empress Alaidain at the end of the Millennium War between Dericost on one side and the Yalaini and Haebrous on the other side. The Order constituted an elite cadre of battle mages to serve as her personal guard and household company. The first Matriarch of the Order was Kerelinas. War Magic is the chosen path of the Order. Aspirant members underwent a harsh training at the Ishilai Lyceum. The school was founded by Exarch Sephrena Mirenndae, who later became a priestess of the Adjanite Sisterhood of Ithaenc.
