Hoolak daggers, were small, cleaved blades made of peraxium. They were easily concealed and affordable, and in heavy use throughout the galaxy. The Chiss faction during the Second Galactic Civil War, were the ones rumored to create them, in that peraxium was easy to find on planets such as Tatooine, and Nar Shaddaa. The peraxium blade in the dagger, could block ion blaster bolts, since the peraxium material could absorb and deflect electrical particles.
