Ratling pamphlet is a type of scroll in ADOM, which appears as a tattered note in its unidentified form. Each pamphlet contains one of a few somewhat funny messages, and does not disappear after reading. They also apparently don't go through Literacy check, thus reading them always succeeds but does not train Literacy. Typical messages are:
