The Temple of Suitengu sat in the Morehei Island, within Kyuden Morehei. It was built by the Morehei family, a vassal family of the Doji devoted to Suitengu, Fortune of the Seas. In the 8th century there was a tremendous earthquake that sunk the island into the sea, unleashed by Suitengu to punish the Morehei, who had neglected the Temple. The Morehei's city rested intact at the bottom of a deep-sea fissure.
