Most comics have them. More of a "parallel universe" - than a "shattered glass " scenario. They are hypothetical scenarios where a few tweaks of a character's pivotal "game changing" life results in a massive change in their timeline. For example: What if Uncle Ben survived his gunshot wound? What if Batman violated his "I will not kill" rule in his early life - would he turn into a "Punisher" like character? The Joes and Transformers all have pivotal moments in their lives. If Megatron didn't almost kill Orion Pax, there would be no Prime. If the Dreadnoks had a better teacher in grade school, they might be Thai Chi instructors.
